Channel management
Working With Cancer (WWC) is a Social Enterprise helping employees, employers, the self-employed, job seekers and carers to manage cancer and work. Through coaching and training they advise and support employers and employees on how to successfully manager cancer in the workplace.
What We Did
Challenges
Time and expertise were an issue when Working With Cancer (WWC) was growing and their focus had to be on supporting new clients. They also needed a pipeline of new business and continually positioning themselves as experts in the area.
Barbara Wilson, founder of WWC, got in touch with Sharpe Social for support with her social media channels.
Strategy
After completing a strategy for the business, I established that the best channels for WWC to be present on were Twitter and LinkedIn. Platforms where thought leaders and HR professionals are present. I took over the day to management of the channels which included content creation, posting, engagement and monthly analysis of results.
The Results
I grew WWC’s following on Twitter by 185% and increased their engagement rate from 1.5% to 2.5%. I grew followers on LinkedIn by 168% and continually engage with people of influence on behalf of the business
Testimonial

Gill has provided me with invaluable social media advice and over the last few months has designed and managed a very successful campaign for my business, Working With Cancer. As part of this she carved out a space for WWC on two already crowded social media platforms and successfully connected us to potential customers. Gill is a highly creative and resourceful person with a strong understanding of social media. She is also a pleasure to work with.
