MY STORY

Hello, I’m Gill Sharpe and I founded Sharpe Social in 2017 after 20 years in the publishing industry, honing my direct marketing skills whilst working for brands including The Economist and The Guardian. Throughout my career I have looked after the subscribers and, in order to retain them, developed in-life communication strategies. I was able to transfer my skills and launch Sharpe Social to support small business to achieve their goals.

Having worked for years using data, A/B testing, multi-channel marketing and making decisions based on data, social media and social advertising were an ideal fit for me. The data is all there and readily available. A direct marketers dream! I upskilled and gained an Advanced Diploma in Social Media Marketing and I’m certified Facebook and Instagram Ads strategist.

I’m passionate about helping my clients get the most out of social media to really maximise the impact for their business. The world of social media is constantly changing and evolving, with new platforms being launched and existing ones being constantly updated. It’s my mission to keep up to date with all the latest revisions and trends, so that my clients are ahead of the game. Whether it’s the launch of Instagram reels or updates to Facebook ads, you can rest assured that I’m always aware of the latest industry developments.  

I currently have a varied client base ranging from businesses based in social enterprise and newly founded small businesses, to established B2B clients, all of which span a range of industries.

I work from home in Bishop’s Stortford, Hertfordshire with my husband and two children. I love coffee and adore my Nespresso machine. It’s perfect for working from home. When I’m not working I enjoy walking around the Hertfordshire countryside for peace, time to breath and inspiration!
